Demi Lovato, Disney princess turned Rock Star Extraodinaire, put on one hell of a performance on Monday night in Del Mar, CA. We, at Karen London, LOVED it for a couple of obvious reasons…
For one thing (and probably the more biased “thing” of the two) she looks FANTASTIC! From the leopard print jeans, to those newly blond locks, to the (obviously amazing) Karen London Aphrodite necklace, she is a total babe!
And then there’s her performance… There was never any question that Demi has talent, that she can sing circles around most girls her (or any) age, but what really struck me when watching her this show was her ability to connect with her audience and hold them in her hands. At one point during the show it seemed like every single person in the audience was holding up the same sign professing their love for the teenaged Diva, and it didn’t seem forced or insincere. These fans genuinely love her, and it’s not hard to see why. Wiping her head all over the place, belting out anthems in true Pop Princess style, actually playing guitar (whoa)… She looks to be having a great time, and more importantly she seems real, like someone you could know, or do know, and I think that’s been missing from pop music for a long time.
