If you do not follow our Karen London instagram (which would be a serious crime I would implore you to immediately rectify) allow me to fill you in on our latest First Class Babes adventure!! Spain! We traveled to Madrid last week to take in the city, shop, eat and have a great time. Here’s some of the photographic highlights and recommendations for all you FCBs who might be going abroad this summer…

The Royal Palace speaks for itself. This was the winter palace for Spanish royalty and boasts large, beautiful rooms with murals, walls decorated covered in porcelain flowers and marble statues that will have your jaw on the floor.

Here’s one of the ceilings inside the Palace… right before they threatened to take my camera away. No pictures inside… ![]()

The Prado on the famed Gran Via is one of the most famous museums in the world and a definite must see for anyone traveling through Europe. It’s HUGE. Give yourself a whole day.

Clarita, just off Gran Via, has such good food we went there twice. Two of our favorite dishes, their burger, and this Red Tuna dish. Soooo yummy.

Retiro Park is INSANELY gorgeous! It’s little pathways lead to all kinds of incredible things like this rose garden that is so Alice in Wonderlandesque, you’ll be waiting to see someone painting the flowers.

The Crystal Palace in Retiro Park… it was built to feel like a dream in the 40s. It does. I promise you.

In Retiro Park there are these amazing modern art installation, like this one I decided to go sit in. The “water” is made of magazines, and they play very eerie ocean sounds. It’s RAD

After the park you MUST go check out this littler bakery/restaurant that’s just outside the front entrance called Harino. Delicious breads and cakes. Great coffee.

The public pools in Madrid are seriously incredible. Be warned, they are NOT heated, and they are FULL of Spanish babes. ![]()

La Cochina which is on the roof of the incredible indoors market place called Mercado de San Anton is a beautiful place to eat dinner. There’s a great patio bar as well that’s always full of locals in the earlier part of the evening (be advised, early for people in Madrid is 11pm).

The nightlife in this city is unmatched in my book. Great people having a great time ALL the time. This was taken outside of Coconut Bar, a hipster hang with great mojitos.

Every Sunday near the Palace is the biggest flea market in Europe, El Rastro. It’s HUGE and full of incredible antiques, clothing, and pick pockets. Hold onto your wallets, ladies.

Go grab an afternoon drink at our favorite bar in Madrid, Zombie Bar, owned by the famous DJ group (and super cool guys) The Zombie Kids.

We could go on and on, but just trust us… if you are traveling overseas this summer and you don’t go to this glorious, narrow street filled city of fantastic food and even better people, you will be doing yourself an injustice. GO! No really. GET over there and have the time of your life. <3
